Day 4 was Eli's first sick day. Apparently it was the first sick day for four other kids as well. A lot of stubborn "first colds of the school year" without enough time on the weekend to fully recover.
Day 5 - The Kissing Hand!
Day 6 - Llama Llama Red Pajama
Day 7 - The Seals on the Bus (again, because "it is our favorite book to read!")
Eli brought home his first art project from school. A watercolor that is proudly displayed on our refrigerator.
Eli told me that he and his classmates got to see a monarch caterpillar go into its chrysalis! They have 5 caterpillars/chrysalises in the classroom that they will be watching until they hatch.
Day 8, Tuesday
Now begins the third week of Eli's adventures. He is still exuberant in the morning and tearful when I go to pick him up: "I don't want you to be here. I want to stay at school." We're working on that reaction. He's already yearning for kindergarten, when he can stay all day at school. I hope that doesn't wear off. It's precious.
Today he got a green "superstar" stamp on his hand and told me that he played with glue sticks at school. He put glue on a piece of paper and stuck things to it.
He brought home his first book order from school - be still my heart!
Another parent told me that it's so cute to watch Eli at circle time in the mornings. He is a very enthusiastic singer. :)
